New vehicle inventory is tight and getting tighter. Although dealerships are having convoy trucks deliver vehicles, many of those are pre-sold. If sales are good from now through Labor Day, inventory will be even more scarce. That will let the automakers off the hook for big rebates and other incentives.
The sky-high used car market
Iíve talked about it for over a month. Your used car will never be worth again what it is right now. This is a bubble that will burst and most cars less than five years old will soon drop thousands of dollars. I believe this bubble will burst very quickly and when it does, prices will flip and trade values will plummet. Right now, it is not uncommon to see someone have a current used car value higher than it was a year ago.
