Here’s an opportunity of a lifetime for a car collector and Eddie Van Halen fan to own something that, for a time, belonged to late guitarist Eddie Van Halen. His custom 2000 550 Ferrari Maranello 6-speed race car with only 28,000 miles is currently on the auction block. The auctioneer, Gotta Have Rock & Roll, says the Ferrari is in excellent working condition, maintained and treated with care. The auction house also says the car has also been serviced by the top Ferrari mechanic. It carries the VIN ZFFZS49A7Y0118483.
The Ferrari’s seats were custom racing seats ordered specifically by Eddie so he could race with his brother, Alex. It also features custom wheels and a roll cage. It comes with the original registration in the name of Edward Van Halen and an original renewal in Eddie’s name. It also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
An avid car collector, Eddie Van Halen also owned a 1972 Lamborghini Miura S, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and two Audi R8s. He also had an affinity for classic Chevrolet models.
Bidding on the Ferrari starts at $200,000 and ends Friday, December 4th at 8 PM Central. The auctioneer estimates it will sell for $250,000-$350,000. To learn more, click here.
